Company Introduction:
Bomingyang Technology Co., Ltd. is located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and is a technology-based enterprise integrating the research and development, production, and sales of rubber seals. The company mainly produces various rubber seals such as O-rings, X-rings, Y-rings, flat washers, V-rings, ED rings, C-rings, rubber strips, rubber balls, rubber retaining rings, and miscellaneous rubber parts.
Double-layer PTFE-coated O-ring material characteristics: corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance.Coated O-rings, also known as fluorocarbon-coated O-rings or coated O-rings, are seals composed of a relatively thick inner core made of materials such as silicone rubber or fluororubber, combined with a relatively thin outer coating of PTFE/FEP/PFA. This product combines the elasticity and sealing properties of O-ring rubber materials with the chemical resistance of PTFE, FEP, PFA, and other materials, offering excellent sealing performance. Our company can customize coated O-rings in various colors and shapes based on customer-provided drawings, samples, specifications, and materials.
Main Features:
Excellent chemical resistance, suitable for almost all chemical media, such as strong oxidizing and reducing solvents, with strong resistance to corrosion from strong acids and alkalis; wide operating temperature range from -200°C to 260°C; excellent compression resistance, ≥30%; extremely low friction coefficient, only between 0.1~0.2; good anti-swelling property ≤0.1%; high pressure resistance, up to 60 MPa; excellent sealing durability, increasing service life by more than 5 times.
Hardness DescriptionThe average hardness of coated O-rings made from different materials is as follows:
Hollow Silicone Rubber: 75-80
Solid Silicone Rubber: 85-90
Solid Fluororubber: 90-95
Material Description:
FEP and PFA, the two outer coating materials, are essentially very similar. However, PFA has better high-temperature resistance than FEP. The applicable temperature range for FEP is -60°C to 205°C, while for PFA it is -60°C to 260°C.
PFA Coated O-Ring, FEP Fluorocarbon-Coated O-Ring, Fluorocarbon-Coated O-Ring, Fluororubber-Coated O-Ring, Fully Coated O-Ring Seal, PTFE-Coated O-Ring
Fanpuseal (full name: Fanpu Coated Seal, also known as Coated O-Ring, Fluorocarbon-Coated O-Ring) organically combines the elasticity and sealing properties of rubber with the chemical resistance of PTFE.
It consists of a silicone or fluororubber inner core and a relatively thin FEP or PFA outer coating. Fanpuseal offers excellent sealing performance.
Product Models:
The "Fanpuseal" product series produced by our company is divided into three series based on product structure and application conditions.
FEP Coated (cross-section can be O-shaped, square, or polygonal design) Click link here
PFA Coated (cross-section can be O-shaped, square, or polygonal design) Click link here
Spring Coated (inner spring can be S or O-shaped) Click link here
Rubber O-rings are prone to wear, have poor chemical corrosion resistance, and low gas permeability resistance. Pure PTFE O-rings have high hardness and compression resistance but poor elasticity.
FEP/PFA-coated O-rings have good anti-swelling properties and chemical stability (unless attacked by alkali metals, fluorine, and some halides at high temperatures) and exhibit excellent elasticity near rubber O-rings.
FEP/PFA has a very low friction coefficient (only 0.1~0.2) and excellent gas permeability resistance, making Fanpuseal seals suitable for harsh environments.

Material Introduction:
FEP and PFA are essentially similar, but PFA has better high-temperature resistance than FEP.
Applicable Temperature Range:
FEP Shell: -60°C to 205°C, can be used at high temperatures up to 260°C for short periods.
PFA Shell: -60°C to 260°C, can be used at high temperatures up to 300°C for short periods.
Our company specifies the inner core material standards for Fanpuseal as:
Fluororubber E-60C
Silicone Rubber ZZR 765B
Solid Fanpuseal is the preferred choice, widely used in static and dynamic seals. Hollow silicone rubber Fanpuseal typically has a larger wire diameter and is used in static seals. Its hardness and compression resistance are lower than those of solid Fanpuseal.
The average hardness of Fanpuseal made from different materials is:
Solid Silicone Rubber: 85-90
Solid Fluororubber: 90-95
Hollow Silicone Rubber: 75-80
Function:
The seamless and uniformly dense FEP/PFA outer coating combined with the rubber inner core ensures consistent sealing performance of Fanpuseal. The elasticity and compression are uniform across all points of the seal,
allowing repeated installation and use under continuous pressure. As medium pressure increases, the entire seal is compressed. Fanpuseal acts like a high-viscosity liquid, transmitting pressure uniformly in all directions.
Compressibility:
The FEP outer coating provides Fanpuseal with excellent resistance to hardening and brittleness, while the silicone or fluororubber inner core ensures good elasticity even at high temperatures up to 205°C.
A comparison of the sealing performance of Kalrez rubber, fluororubber, and FEP-coated O-rings in compression devices shows that
Fanpuseal, combining the physical properties of silicone or fluororubber with the chemical properties of FEP/PFA, maintains rubber elasticity while offering excellent compression resistance.
The manufacturing of Fanpuseal requires strict quality control. A special process ensures that the FEP polymer fully encapsulates the rubber inner core, and the O-ring meets the required standard tolerances.
Our data demonstrates our strong commitment to Fanpuseal product quality, based on performance testing and strict controls to ensure customer satisfaction and safe use.
Compared to any other rubber or pure PTFE O-rings, Fanpuseal offers unparalleled sealing performance and long service life, especially in harsh media.
Chemical Corrosion Resistance:
The outer FEP/PFA coating is a fundamental component of Fanpuseal, providing excellent resistance to chemical attack. Under normal operating temperatures, FEP/PFA is resistant to most chemicals, with only a few exceptions,
such as strong alkali metals, fluorine, and some halides, which are incompatible with FEP/PFA. At high temperatures, some concentrated chemicals may react with FEP (recommended maximum temperature 204°C/400°F) or PFA (recommended maximum temperature 260°C/500°F).
At elevated temperatures, FEP/PFA may be attacked by 80% NaOH and KOH, metal hydrides such as boron hydride (B2H6), aluminum hydride, ammonia (NH3), and some organic compounds containing amino (NH2) and imino (R=NH) groups.
At temperatures up to 250°C/480°F, it may also undergo slow oxidation by 70% nitric acid. In such extreme conditions, the product must undergo special testing. Apart from these chemicals, Fanpuseal is generally chemically inert to other substances.
